March 28, 2023 Special Election Called for Senate of Virginia, District 9

A vacancy has occurred in the Senate of Virginia, Ninth District due to the resignation of the Honorable Jennifer L. McClellan. A special election has been called for March 28, 2023 to fill the seat for the remainder of the term. The writ calling for the special election may be viewed on the Dept. of Elections website.

ONLY voters in the following 4 precincts are eligible to participate in this Special Election:
  • 101 Ashland - Ashland Town Hall 121 Thompson St. in council chambers
  • 105 Berkley - Due to the construction at the John M. Gandy elementary school located at 201 Archie Cannon Dr. Ashland, VA 23005, voting precinct 105 Berkley will be relocated to the Ashland Fire Station #1 located at 501 Archie Cannon Dr. Ashland, VA 23005.
